Apparently Wordless Wednesday is for something that tells it's own story, something that we can just look at and without anyone telling us anything get some sort of feeling. Is this it? I'm not sure since I never read the rules, but after just coming back from a trip to Oregon I had several Wordless moments. There are places and times that just take our breath away with their beauty, mystic or sometimes something just feels right for that particular moment. It can't be explained, and many times someone had to be there to truly grasp the experience. There is so much natural beauty, and man made beauty in this world.........

Hi Kathy...You have taken us with you to experience the beauty you saw. Pictures never completely capture nature but yours have come very close.
That photo of the shed is amazing. Did you take it and if so what did you do to it?
I also like the composition of the photos together. How about a tutorial?
Kate
you finally got the water in the waterfall the way you wanted... good for you! Very nice... Love Lost Lake, the Water Wheel and the road... too cool
Hi Kate- Yes I took that picture of the shed and played around with it on Picnik.com. If you go there, and under the Sandbox tab you will find the Hypnotic effect. Just play with it till you get the effect you want. Every picture turns out different depending, but it is fun. Instead of taking it back to my computer, I used Picnik.com's Add text when I was done, and then made a collage. I just couldn't get the feeling of the beauty of the Turquoise Lake....so this collage gave me the feeling of the beauty I wanted to share :)
Thesa-Oh friend, I am so glad, cuz as you know I loved it, and both of us have so many wonderful pictures, but how to share them :) No one but you knows how much I tried to get the water to look soft.....when are you putting your pictures up? And Thank you so much for being my tour guide for a fabulous 5 days in Central Oregon. You are very lucky to live there :)
Kathy, these pictures are beautiful, and I love what you did with the shed! How much fun! Thank you.
Kathy, that is beautiful. I just went to Olando to celebrate my sister's 60th birthday and the last day on her big day we went to Epcot. The last ride we rode was the soaring ride and you have captured that ride in your pictures. It was a wonderful way to end our visit!
Hi Kathy, Fantastic collage - truly beautiful. Poor me - I stared at that shed for the longest time wondering how they got those flags in the field! HAHAHA!! I think I need to take a break from the computer!
Andrea- It was fun, glad you enjoyed them :)
Marchel- Wonderful that you could identify with such a good time as a Birthday fun day with your sister. I loved reading about your experience :)
Mary- Oh Mary thanks for the laugh..and now you know that it wasn't Sally's little fairies, although that would make a much better story :) I am still smiling with you ......
Beautiful Kathy! Yup...you caught some great moments. I would like to have seen the larger shots :)
Kathy, Wow, the pictures are fabulous! I didn't know you had a trip, good for you....and thanks for sharing some gorgeous photos ( and the tutorial on picnik!).
Sally- Hello my best-est friend....I had to scroll back up to see which ones I have on here. 2 or 3 of these are on Flickr, I have 2 sets from my trip, but many more that aren't posted. These are some of my favorites....go check them out the others on Flickr: Kathy McGraw's Photos
Carole- Hi there, I've missed you and need to call :) Yes I went to the Portland Rebar Camp, and Thesa Chambers hosted me at her beautiful Central Oregon home. Not only did I stay there, but she took me all over including a listing appointment, and a showing. I had a wonderful time, and just loved the photo ops :) Hope all is well with you.....
This is very nicely done. I love this time of year. It is a nice time to show off the place where you live.
I'm glad you enjoyed Oregon and I can speak for us, we enjoyed having you! I have to say it was so nice finally meeting you in person and talking to you face to face, because it is so much better than over the phone!
Oh, Kathy! I'm sure a few words are perfectly fine! Beautiful photos!
Hi Kathy...Thank you so much for telling us how you managed to create that great collage and especially the instructions for "hypnotic" effect.
I'm definitely going to give that a try. I may even do photos of each of my grandchildren to send to them. They'll get a kick of them.
Kate
Joan- Yes Spring is beautiful all over the world....:)
Todd- why thank you friend, and I agree fully, no online hug can match a real one :)
Patricia- Thanks.....
Kate- Just play with it and have fun. Here's another trick...get an effect you want, and then save the picture. Reopen it, and play with it some more....there's a lot that you can do on there :)
Kathy, there is nothing like seeing the country from the car. Your pictures are alive with color and beauty......love it!
Kathy I don't know the rules of "Wordless" anything sense it is pretty hard for me to remain "Wordless" about anything ..... LOL
Love the pictures :)
This is amazing, Kathy... so creative and professional...Seems like something I'd see in a zine or poster...I love the poetry and how all of your speechless moments culminated in this image. It makes a big impact. Very well done!
Ann- Thanks you....yes all of these pictures were initially seen from the car, albeit I stopped at each of these afterward :)
George- Me either :)
Mara- Coming from you that is quite the compliment, thank you ;)
Hi Kathy,
Yes, that is what I think Wordless Wednesday and Speechless Sunday is all about (though some people cannot refrain from a verbal description). Yours photos say it very well, no words needed. :-)
Cynthia thanks....:)
Stunning photos - makes me want to take a trip! Thanks for sharing!
I absolutely love Oregon - so I can see why you were enamoured as well! So girl email me when you're coming up here to B.C. I want to book some time off!

Susan- Oh I want to go on another trip too.....
Liz- I'm not going to be able to come up next month as planned, you know how it is ;) As to the photos go back up to Comment #3 I told the filer etc.
